Martha is pleased to introduce her latest duet volume, Timeless Melodies For Two Violins, Volume III! There is a nice mixture of top favorites from Barbara Barber’s highly acclaimed series, Solos For Young Violinists, Volumes 1-6, along with other standard pieces from the repertoire. Of note is that the inclusion of the Veracini Sonata from Suzuki Book 8 now completes Martha’s arranging goal to write duets for ALL pieces in Suzuki Books 1-10!
No matter what city, state or country you live in, Barber’s Solos For Young Violinists, will be found among violinists because of the rich content and the clear fingerings and bowings. It is Martha’s hope that her duets will enhance and assist greatly in the learning process of these works.
You will find both a Duet version (for lessons) as well as a separate Second Violin insert (for performances, eliminating page turns for longer selections). Additionally, the soloist has several Tutti parts located in the front of the Duet book in Volumes I-II. Divisi is suggested in groups or one advanced player with double stops.
